Established in 1985, Basically Books is located in historic Hilo town
on the island of Hawaii. Our front door faces Hilo Bay with a lovely
view of the black sand beach curving along the Hilo Bayfront to
Coconut Island in the distance. Hawaii is our specialty and we cover
it in depth. If there is a book in print about Hawaii, we try to stock it.
We also carry a selection of out-of-print Hawaiian books.
Basically Books stocks one of the state of Hawaii's largest
selections of maps and guide books of Hawaii and the World.
